You want to get in shape? Well, strap on those running shoes of yours and if you don't have any go get some. Most people will give you advice on how to run, form, distance, intensity and all that good stuff. That is not my intention. I am merely telling you to get your shoes on and start. You have to start. Start by walking if you have to some action is better than no action. There is no shame in walking; sometimes that's all I do. I enjoy running but even I need a change or to slow it down a bit. The message here is to start. Not next week, not tomorrow but start today.
Once you get moving you will feel better. Tired but energized at the same time. You will feel accomplished. A benefit I get from running is that I typically come out of it with a clear mind. I use the time to think through problems, insecurities, and whatever else may be bothering me it's kind of amazing. Not only does running get you in better physical shape it can also get you into a better mental state as well.
In conclusion, strap your shoes on, lift those feet up and put them down and get moving.
